The girl’s varsity netters took just a little over an hour to defeat North Ridgeville 5-0 at home.

First off the courts was Morgan Truscott at third singles with “double-bagel” 6-0, 6-0 win. Shortly thereafter, Gabby Gosciewski at first singles, completed her impressive win with a 6-1, 6-0 match score.

Wrapping it up in singles, sophomore Ellie Goetz took the win at second singles with her 7-5, 6-1 victory.

The doubles teams both won in straight sets. Ally Leither and Kate Barrett got the 6-2, 6-1 win at second doubles and Emma Barnard and Sam Gaba earned another strong win at first doubles with a 6-2, 6-3 score.

Head varsity coach Laura Graham commented, “This Bulldog team is just showing what hard work and dedication can do. They’ve learned that winners know how to win and how it builds confidence. As a coach, that is very exciting to see. They practice hard and they have found the balance between playing offensively with power and finesse verses defensive and staying in the point. That is the key to winning tennis matches and I am so very proud of this team.”

Great job, Bulldogs!!
