On Sunday the girls JV team also participated in the NSBC JV tournament. They would shoot games of 621 and 511 followed by averaging 117 in the Baker games to finish with a grand total of 1728. This was many of the girls’ first tournament in their young career and they did hang in there all day!
Leading the girls on the day was Senior Jacquline Ruther and Freshmen Olivia Rousek. Jacquline shot a 163 game out of the gate which was tied for third overall in the girls’ division. Olivia continued her freshmen campaign as she battled through adversity and came back with a big 144 game.
With that being said, the girls’ JV team ends their 2019-2020 campaign. They will participate in the GCIBL conference tournament next Saturday but that will be it. It was certainly a fun season as many things were accomplished. But most importantly, a foundation was set for the next few years as four freshmen made strides in the games.
