Multiple Teams · Swimming picks up pair of wins against Amherst

The Bulldog swimmers picked up a pair of victories last night against Amherst.  The Girls prevailed 105-80 while the Boys defeated the 5-time defending SWC Champion Comets 89-87 by winning the final relay.

The Girls were led by individual winners Sarah Tomasch (200 Fr/100 Fr), Lillie Katsaras (100 Fly), Casey Schmidt (Diving), and Maddie Swanson (Breaststroke).  Also winning were the girls 200 Free Relay of Katsaras, Grace Kolesar, Schmidt and Tomasch as well as the 400 Free Relay of Tomasch, Carly Edmonds, Emily Cifranic, and Katie Clute.

The Boys team downed the defending champions with a total team effort as all 12 boys scored individually.  Leading the way individually were Jackson Stump (200 Fr/100 Fly) and Evan Bolton (Breaststroke).  The Boys team was trailing the entire meet, but the 400 Free Relay of Tyler Delap, Will Distin, Nathan Wickert, and Stump defeated the Comets to win the meet.
