What will you miss most about being a Student-Athlete at OFHS?
I will miss game days the most at Olmsted Falls, and the support from the community. Especially on Friday night football games when the whole city comes out to support the team. There is really no place like Olmsted Falls.
What is the best experience you had as a Student-Athlete at OFHS?
The best experience I had at Olmsted Falls was when I started my first varsity game on the lacrosse, and football team. Hearing your name for the starting lineup gives you the chills.
What is your favorite game, meet, or match you were involved in and why at OFHS?
My favorite game that I participated in at Olmsted Falls was playing Amherst in football. We started the game off slow, but we made adjustments at halftime after being down. We came back in the second half and played our game. It was a nail biter at the end and overall a lot of fun. That is my favorite game because it shows that it isn’t over until the last whistle.
Would you like to thank or recognize anyone who has assisted you along the way?
I would like to thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches. Especially Coach Deluca for pushing me as hard as I can go. Also Coach Josh and Trent for exposing my weaknesses and making me build off them.
Head Coach Josh Piepenburg’s Comments:
Johnny is a 3-year varsity starter, 2-year captain, and a leader by example. He is never afraid to push his teammates to get better and expects nothing less than the best out of everyone, including himself. He has been a pleasure to coach and I’m very proud that he is playing at the next level.
Congratulations Johnny and Best of Luck to you!
