Multiple Teams · Girls and Boys Swimming move up in SWC


The Girls Swim Team (4-3; 4-3 SWC) improved to finish 5th in the SWC after finishing 7th the year before.  The Girls were led by Junior Casey Schmidt who placed third in Diving while breaking the school record and Sophomore Lillie Katsaras who finished third in both the 100 Butterfly and 500 Freestyle.  Also finishing on the podium were Freshman Grace Kolesar (sixth in the 200IM) and the 400 Free Relay of Sophomore Sarah Tomasch, Senior Delaney Burton, Senior Hannah Kho, and Katsaras.

 

The Boys Swim Team (3-4; 3-4 SWC) improved to finish 4th in the SWC after finishing 5th the year before.  The Boys were led by Senior Lucas Trupo who finished 3rd in the 500 Freestyle and 4th in the 100 Backstroke and Junior Evan Bolton who finished 4th in the 100 Breaststroke and 6th in the 200 IM.  Also finishing on the podium for the Boys were Senior Jack Surtman (4th in the 100 Butterfly) and the third place 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay consisting of Trupo, Bolton, Surtman, and Sophomore Sam Munoz.

 

Both teams return to action on Wednesday at the Gemini Center against Fairview and North Ridgeville.
