Bulldogs News · Olmsted Falls Boys Bowling Wins District Title- Qualifies For D1 State Tournament

On Sunday, the Olmsted Falls Boys bowling team competed in the Northeast Division 1 District Tournament for a chance to go to the Division I State Tournament. Facing a field of sectional qualifiers, the Bulldogs took the tournament by storm to capture their 2nd District Championship by taking 1st place. They would shoot games of 973, 979 and 981 and then a Baker round of 1146 (191 average). They would lead the field at the end of the day by over 240 pins!


Leading the Bulldogs individually was Junior Jerrod Green who shot games of 218, 277 and 233 for a 728 series. This was Jerrod’s personal best series and is one of the highest series to be rolled by a Bulldog bowler in a playoff tournament. The supporting cast was led by Senior Travis Green (577) and Junior Keegan Skoczen (595). It was a dominant performance by the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs now set their eyes on the Division 1 State Tournament which will be held Saturday March 9th at Wayne Webb’s Columbus bowl. The last time the Bulldog men made the State tournament was in 2014. The team was led by current coaches Chad Kuchenmeister and Andrew Oltmanns who led their team to a State Runner Up Title.
