Boys Varsity Lacrosse Wraps Up Regular Season with 12-5 Record and Receives Several Post Season Honors

The Boys Varsity lacrosse team finished the 2016 regular season with a 12-5 record and set single season records with 12 wins, 164 goals, and 97 assists.  The team will play at Benedictine Thursday at 5pm.  Division 2 Northwest Region All-Conference Awards went to the following players:

Daniel Candow: First Team All-Conference; sophomore, Attack, 67 goals, 24 assists, 65 groundballs. Daniel broke single season records for goals, assists and total points.  Daniel scored 41% of overall team goals and assisted on 25% of team goals.

Jack Fontana: Second Team All-Conference; senior, FO Specialist, Captain, 60% faceoff win percentage (154-259), 9 goals, 19 assists, 143 groundballs.  Jack broke his single season records for faceoff wins and groundballs, and was third on the team in scoring.  Jack owns Bulldog career records for faceoffs and groundballs.

Jake Yeager: Honorable Mention; Senior, midfield, Captain, 22 goals, 20 assists, 65 ground balls, 9 takeaways. Jake finished second on the team in both goals and assists.

Angelo Hanson: Honorable Mention; sophomore, Goalie, 61% save percentage (167-274), 6.7GAA, 27 groundballs.   Angelo broke the single season record for saves in a season and now holds the career record for saves in a career (255).

Sam Lofton: Honorable Mention; freshman, Defense, 46 groundballs, 4 takeaways, typically defends opponents best attackman every game.

Kevin McKeigue: Coach of the Year.  Bulldogs completed first season in Division 2 Northwest Conference and finished with 12 wins; improving on 8 wins in the Club Division in 2015 and 6 wins in the Club Division in 2014
