The Varsity Boys Lacrosse team improved to 9-1 over the weekend beating Lutheran West 17-1 on Friday night and Canton Central Catholic 16-4 on Saturday.  On Friday, the Bulldog’s offensive explosion was led by Daniel Candow’s 6 goals and Josh Norman’s 3 goals and 4 assists. Jack Fontana controlled the face-offs, winning 14 of 15 and the defense shut down Lutheran West with LSM Michael Dulin collecting 5 ground balls and Angelo Hanson stopping 5 shots in his three quarters of play.

On Saturday the Bulldogs were tied 4-4 at the half against the Crusaders from Canton.  This tie lasted for just 25 seconds as Daniel Candow scored on a pass from Jack Fontana to open up second half scoring.  The team scored a total of 5 goals in the first 1:52 of the second half to open the game up 9-4.  Team scoring for the game was led by Daniel Candow’s 7 goals and 4 assists, Josh Norman’s 4 goals, Garrett Dietrich’s 2 goals and 2 assists, and 4 assists each from Jack Fontana and Jake Yeager.  Jack Fontana won 10 of 14 face-offs. The Bulldog defense of Justin Peck, Sam Lofton, David Cleary, Jack Hyneman and Will Vulpio shut down the Crusaders in the second half and Angelo Hanson collected 10 saves.
