Causey Goes Distance in 3-2 Win Over Lakewood

Sophomore Nate Causey scattered eight hits while allowing only one earned run and fanning five in another come from behind win road win for the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs. The southpaw only walked one batter in the complete game 100 pitch effort over the Lakewood Rangers. Causey kept the Bulldogs in the game until Senior Lukas Banhidy delivered a pinch hit double to drive in senior Nate Krogh (single) with the first of two 6th inning tallies. Banhidy then scrambled home on a wild pitch with the eventual game winning run two batters later.

Senior Aaron Zawadski and junior Ricky Castrigano led the Dogs with two hits apiece and figured in the 5th inning run that tied the ballgame at 1-1 after 5 innings. Castrigano singled and hustled home on groundout by Zawadski in 5th. The Dogs had other chances to score but could not get past the gritty effort of Lakewood’s Ben Bulchik (complete game) until the 6th inning heroics of Banhidy.
