Game Recap

The freshmen and JV Bulldogs started the night in exciting fashion last night, both defeating Avon in Eagle territory. Lauren Galaska, Brittany Roman, and Allison Milligan had strong nights for the freshmen and JV teams.

The Varsity team came out strong, defeating Avon is sets 1 and 2. After Avon came back to tie the match 2-2, the Bulldogs came charging back, yet came up short 15-13 in the final set. Lots of heart, energy, and leadership was shown by all.

Liana Pettiti and Jeanie Edgington had 10 kills each, and Kaye Dregalla added 9 kills. Halle Slater had a strong night at the net with 5 kills and 6 blocks. Grace Simon put up a great block on the right side, adding in 4 blocks against the Eagle attack. Defensively, Leah LaPinta led the way with 35 digs, along with setter Emma O’Brien and Maura Schultz digging out 23 and 14 hits from the Avon attacks. Meghan Sheneman’s 4 service aces at critical times helped the Bulldogs gain momentum.

The Bulldogs are in the middle of a few long weeks of volleyball action, facing up against Westlake on Saturday at home. Freshmen game time is 9:00 am.
