Boys Golf Team Off to a Great Start

The Boys Golf Team has had a fantastic start to the 2017 season.  To open the season, the team placed second out of 12 teams in the Springvale Invitational.  Logan Bratsch and Mally Kilbane each shot a 79. The team placed first, claiming the championship at their next tournament, the Keystone Invitational. In this sixteen-team event played at Grey Hawk, Bratsch fired a 74 and was medalist of the tournament.  At the Pioneer Invitational at Forest Hills the team placed third out of 22 teams. Once again Bratsch led the way with a solid 75. Sully Kilbane and Mally Kilbane each carded an 84. Logan Bratsch continued his outstanding play with a 76 at Oberlin Country Club, where the team finished seventh out of 18 teams.

In conference play, the team placed third out of ten teams at the SWC Preview at Pine Hills. Bratsch (77) and Mally Kilbane (84) led the way for the Bulldogs. The team is 2-0 in nine hole matches. The team beat Avon 160-184 on August 17th. Scores were Logan Bratsch (39), Sully Kilbane (40), Mally Kilbane (40), and Ryan Higginbotham (41). In a 166-182 victory over Westlake on August 22, Logan Bratsch led the way with an even par 36. Sully Kilbane contributed with a 42. The next match is Thursday, August 24th against Lakewood.
