Game Recap

The Bulldogs participated in the first-ever OHSAA santioned lacrosse tournament Wednesay night and came away victorious. The Bulldogs (10-7) were the 11 seed and traveled to Toledo Ottawa Hills (7-6), the 8 seed. Olmsted Falls started with a stong offense and was able to have the lead at halftime, 10-8. The second half started rough for the Bulldogs, allowing the Green Bears to go on a 6 goal streak to take the lead 14-10. However, the lady Bulldogs wouldn’t quit, and battled back to tie the game at 17-17 with Emma Heinrich scoring at 1:51 left in the game. With the clock ticking down, Sarah Balfour scored the go-ahead goal with 43 seconds left on the clock, and the Bulldogs took their first tournament win. May Alhashash had 8 goals and 2 assists, Balfour scored 7 goals and one assist, Heinrich, Kaitlyn Hradek and Grace Hyppa all added one goal each, and Delaney Allan and Katie Yanchak had assists. Kelsey Webb had 14 saves between the pipes. The Bulldogs travel to Revere Saturday at 11:00 am for the Regional Quarterfinal game.
