Game Recap

Junior Nate Causey improved to 5-1 on the season as the host Bulldogs defeated Lorain in their opening round OHSAA Sectional Tournament game.

Causey struck out 5 Lorain batters, and tossed an efficient 84 pitch Complete Game.

The Bulldogs bats were hot from the start, as they peppered the field with line drives. Unfortunately, most of those atom balls were right at Lorain fielders, and the Bulldogs only finished with 5 hits.

Brian Eiseman came up huge with a 2 out infield single that scored 2 runs, and he finished the game 2 for 4 with a double and 4 RBI.

Seniors Ricky Castrigano, Jack Hamel, and Junior Sully Kilbane each chipped in a hit, as well.

The Bulldogs (12-12, 8-8) advance to the Sectional Championship today at Avon Early Learning Center vs the #2 Avon Eagles. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00pm.
