The Bulldogs captured second place at the Weingart Invitational on a cool Saturday at Cleveland Heights High School. Senior Sarah Makari captured 18 points for the Bulldogs getting first in the 3200m and second in the 1600m. The 4×800 also captured the invitational title with the help of freshmen Claire Weber, Alyssa Klimchak, sophomore McCullar, and junior Sydney VanScoy. The Piper sisters of senior Mary and sophomore Grace got first and third respectively in the long jump. Sophomore Lauren Gumeny had a solid day in the hurdles racing for third in both the 100h and 300h. Finally, the 9th and 10th grade 4×100 team of freshmen Colleen Thiel, Lauren Kreitzer and sophomores Abbie LaRosa and Makayla Smith captured a nice first place finish with a quality time. The Bulldogs host the Comets of Amherst and the Demons of Westlake for their last SWC tune-up. Come out and support your Bulldogs!
